UPDATE ON ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION

The victim in the case was released from the hospital yesterday.

Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and reviewing incoming information.

Extra patrols using both mark and undercover vehicles are continuing,

especially during the arrival and dismissal times at our schools.

Today is Halloween, and extra parols have been added to ensure the children

can enjoy a safe and happy Halloween!!!


 

The Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe Halloween.  Trick or Treat hours are Wednesday, October 31st from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.  Here are some safety tips to help keep your children safe:

  • Always use common sense
  • Never trick or treat alone
  • Plan your route
  • Wear a flame retardant costume
  • Have an adult check your candy before you eat it
  • Be cautious of strangers
  • Accept treats only at the doorway NEVER go in a house
  • Don't play near lit pumpkins
  • Visit houses with lights on
  • Walk, don't run
  • Do not walk in the street
  • Cross at the corner or crosswalks
  • Bring a cell phone
  • Carry a flashlight when it is dark

GARAGE SALE PERMITS

Garage Sale Permits can be obtained in the Police Department (1st Floor of the Village Hall) for $5.00.  Three (3) permits are allowed per calendar year for 3 days successions.  Any questions, please call 349-4434.
