Ashbourne Lake & Lake Lorin Permits
Fishing permits for the 2009-2010 fishing season (valid April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010) are available for purchase at the Community Center, 16553 S. Haven Avenue and at the Village Hall, 16033 S. 94th Avenue. All anglers must have a Village Permit to fish. Fees are waived for physician-certified handicapped individuals. Please note that the Orland Hills Police Department and Village Game Wardens will be patrolling Ashbourne Lake and Lake Lorin. These Agencies will be enforcing the Village Fishing Permits. Noncompliance is subjected to ticketing and fines.

ALL FEES WILL CONSIST OF ONE PERMIT FOR ASHBOURNE LAKE AND LAKE LORIN. All fees help subsidize a portion of the annual fish stocking, lake and park maintenance, aerations, erosion and weed control.
Illinois Urban Fishing Program
“Access to Fishing”
The Orland Hills Recreation in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is offering an “Access To Fishing Program” . This program is designed for residents who would like to fish but do not own fishing equipment. A participant would register at the Community Center and rent a fishing pole free of charge. The pole rental will last for one week from the date of registration. If the participant is under 16 years of age, a Illinois Driver’s License from a parent or guardian must accompany the registration form. All participants will receive an educational packet with fishing goodies included. The Recreation Department has rods, reels and fishing supplies available. Catch & Release Fish Program Update!

Registration will begin 1/2 hour before the start of contest times. A trophy presentation will be made after each age classification. Nonresident must purchase permit to be allowed to fish.
